if you feel like you are getting good arrow flight especially with the bareshafts then what is leading people to say that they are under spined?  with friends like that...

for many people a heavy spine arrow shoots better. Maybe because they have a slightly plucky release. If yours are consistantly hitting where you want don't worry about it. This is the reason we test different arrows/point weight and knock height. (Tune our bow to us) Someone else picking up your bow and arrows may get erratic flight.

1916's are a very good shaft. They are a thicked wall shaft and not as light spined as some people think. I have shot them for years and I shoot them out of a 54# Morrison,r.c. a 55# Bear Kodiak and a 54# Ant. Spirits l.b. If you get good arrow flight and your bow is showing no defects due to light arrows thin they are not to light. Some guys just like heavy heavy arrows. I use the Fread Bear formula on arrow weight and it works good for me. Say you have a 50# bow it would be 50 x10 = 500 gr. max. thin take 500 - 50= 450 gr. min. anywere from 450 to 500 will work good. It will not hurt to be heavy but you will not want to be under 450. This has work good for me for years. And who am I to question Fred Bear. This will work with any weight bow.
