I'm really getting frustrated. All my arrows are getting bent (I switched to alumiminum arrows because I was breaking too many wood ones) so I'm down to 4 straight usable arrows and I'm afraid to shoot until I figure out what to do. :(
I have an arrow cube target from Wally World (styrofoam) and its not the problem; the problem is what to set it on. I tried strapping it to a picnic table in my yard but it would tip over (breaking arrows). Then I tried putting it on my kids plastic jungle-gym/slide set, but when I missed the arrows would skim off the plastic rails on the gym (or stick with a thud!) bending them.
I have enough of a slope in my yard that I don't have to worry too much about backstop, but is there a target out there that is freestanding (like an easel) or do I have to go find hay bales?
Also, are bent aluminum arrows not fixable? The local archery shop told me they were too bent to fix without breaking (and was quick to try and sell me on carbon arrows).
