Howdy gang.
I am shooting fairly good these days, but I feel I could be better.  I have looked over this video many times myself, but I'd like others to see it and let me know what you see.  

I am shooting at a Ponderousa pine cone about 25 yards away.  I missed it a little on the first shot and drilled it on the seconed.

Your alignment looks great...but I did see some colapse/creep forward just before the shot.  This could cause a shot to be off a tad, as your shot is not fluid or smooth if your shot had a static release or dynamic release rearward.

On your 1st shot, your bow arm moved down and left, and on your second shot your bow arm was more stable.  This inconsistency is likely caused by that forward creep at the last second before you drop the string.

that's what I was seeing too Terry.  So my question then is how do I break the creeping habit?  I am sure its a habit.  ideas welcome.

I'd get on the bale at about 8 feet away with the target level with my shoulders, and concentrating on the aspect of the shot you want to work on.  I'd completely forget about aiming, and consciously think about your back tension.

Let me ask you, where is your thumb base knuckle on your drawing hand when you complete your draw?

ahh more blank bail.  I have been doing that at the begginning of each shooting session.  I'll focus in on that aspect tomorrow. (thurs).  

I am not sure where the base of my thumb knuckle is.  I'll pay attention to that as well tomorrow and let you know then...but uh..is there some where is "should" be?

Ok, so I went to the range and did some intense blank bail shooting with my eyes closed focusing on constant back tension and not creeping on the release.  I also paid attention to where my thumb knuckle was.  
  I was able to get the feel of the constant back tension and break the creeping habbit.  I know I'll have to work on it for a few weeks, but I felt much improvement already.  At first I think my thumb knuckle wasn't even touching my face or if it was it was to light to feel.  I started tucking it in behind the curve of my jaw and under my ear.  This also seemed to help by giving me a more consistant anchor point.

Keep that up, and make sure you slide that thumb knuckle base in the same place every time....that will give you a double anchor, positive reinforcement of a solid repeatable anchor.

Yeah....do that for a couple of weeks, and don't fall for aiming during that time.
