Today I shot my best long range group ever with a longbow or recurve and I've just got to brag a little because I've put in a ton of work the past 15 years and really started working on perfecting my form the past two years. Without the information and tips from Trad Gang this would not have been possible and I'm shooting better this year than any time ever. Thanks to all on this site who have posted informative information; especially Terry Green for his helpful threads on alignment!
Now I've just got to work on being able to do this consistently.
The bow is a 50# @31" Dbl Carbon Habu Vyperkahn. The arrows are full length Beman Classic 340's. The group was a 5 arrow "walk up" group with one arrow each shot at 80, 70, 60, 50 and 40 yards. Below is a picture. The one arrow out of the kill was shot at 70 yards but it's hard to complain about missing the kill by a few inches at that distance.
