My release-tab burn
« on: April 06, 2008, 11:01:00 AM »
I am currently using a seal-hair tab and I am noticing a quick burn off of the hair in the area of my ring finger. I am generally hitting my target but I can't help but wonder if I could do better or am doing something wrong. I previously used calves hair without noticing this problem. Thanks for any and all.

I started a thread not long ago about an issue I was having with my index finger getting sore.  I went to the skookum tab after that.  What I found out was that I was placing too much pressure on the offended area.  If I may suggest, take a deep hook, try to even out the string pressure evenly across all three fingers and see if that helps.
Shoot strait and have fun!
