Over Draw = Shoot Right or Left

I think I figured this out but if I'm a right handed archer and I over draw the bow will I shoot right or left or neither?

Tilz......in theory the increased power stroke of drawing the bow an additional amount would result in an arrow impact to the right(RH archer) due to imparting more to the arrow and therfore a weak arrow reaction....BUT ofthen whats happen in an overdraw situation is.....the face gets thicker farther back(when using a side of face anchor) which in effect moves the anchor( and the nock end of the shaft) to the right...which points the arrow to the left, resulting in a left impact. Under the chin anchors almost always get an right arrow impact when overdrawing the bow.

Thanks for the explanation Rod.

I've been shooting real well lately then for about a week up until yesterday I was shooting about 6" to 8" right at 20 to 30 yards when I first started shooting. Yesterday I took some video of my form and noticed I was nearly drawing my full length 32 1/4" arrows into the riser! I think I was concentrating too hard on back tension and over drawing as a result. I "shortened" my draw back to 31 1/4", worked on static back tension and things have really straightened out the last two days.

I've got a fairly thin but square face so maybe it doesn't thicken up as much keeping everything in line similar to an under the chin anchor... I do know my arrow flight was erratic at best when the arrows were hitting to the right.

If I catch myself overdrawing I am almost always shooting to the left.. Thanks for the explaination, Rod.. I also seem to have a more difficult time keeping my bow arm in position when I'm over extending. Causes my bowarm to recoil to the left unless I'm very diligent. My observations may be unique to me...
