Just for Rod Jenkins: bow question.
« on: April 11, 2008, 07:51:00 PM »
Rod, I was wondering if you have ever shot the DAS bows, and what your impression of them was?  I am strictly an instinctive shooter with trad bows, and I wonder if I will see any noticeable difference between the DAS and a good wood bow with this style of shooting?  Thanks, Paul Pickering.

Paul...yes I've shot the entire Das family of bows a good deal. I own a 21'' Elite and 21'' Daala and will be using the 21'' Daala as my tournamnet recurve this year.

I dont believe shooting style makes any bow have more or less merit. The Daala has some strong points, such as tuning ease, versatility and the abilty to change limbs in a few seconds as well as grips...but certainly the right wood bow, will get the job done.

Thanks for the response.  I've been trying to learn all I can about them before I make such an investment.  I'm a little leery of getting a bow that might make me want to compete again, since it burned me out so bad before.  Thanks again, Paul.
