advice, links...etc. on getting the proper form down from the beginning...

Look at the top of this forum...several member videos of proper form.  You could start there maybe.

i know...i've been on here about 6 months or so and i'm still finding new stuff.  Also, one thing i've found out, if you can't find it, just ask.

Absolutely, I've never seen a forum as informative or as interesting as this one... (of course I've got the newly initiated string/stick fever --)
By the way I've just gotta say this... I tried(for starters) parallel feet with parallel shoulders and -- Holy crap! -- just one small adjustment! I've got a real short range (6yrds - laundry room) just for shooting, but hey at least I can shoot there for now LOL >>->
Any how the improvement was immediately evident...I'll stop now, but wow!
