I had problems at one point with premature release and just huge inconsistencies, etc. I did a couple of things that were noted by others in similar threads---I learned to walk myself mentally through each shot, step by step, and I made myself count to 3 before release. I didn't care about arrow flight or groups or hitting; I just went methodically through the motions of positioning myself at a certain angle to the target, then focus on proper grip of the bow, then raise the bow, don't squeeze the nock, draw the bow and note if my grip is changing as the strain increases, anchor, count, release.
After two or three sessions of only focusing on these steps and then eventually adding the focus, at the last split second, of getting on the target just before release, I was cured.
