Anybody know anything about these bows? this one is 39#. I dont know anything about them, but am picking one up locally for 25.00 tomorrow. Figure I cant go wrong at that price after questioning the guy about condition, cracks and string condition (all good, appearantly)

Jerry,
The Chief is a nice shooter. I have one and really enjoy shooting it.
The Blackhawk Chief was made in E.Mckeesport Pa. by the Cravotta Brothers who owned Blackhawk.
I believe the Chief was more toward the target side of Blackhawks line of bows.
The price is very good if it is clean. Make sure you check the sides of the limbs some older Blackhawks are known for the glass to lift, but nothing that can't be repaired, if not to bad.
