Question about Rick Welch School
« on: August 04, 2009, 04:12:00 PM »
I know that Rick Welch says if you insist on shooting split finger he will work with you on that. Has anyone taken his class that stayed with split finger.  I have tried 3 under and just can't get used to it. Shoot fairly well split but would like to improve if there was a different way. I would like to know where one anchors if not feather on the nose like he teaches for 3 under.

He says in the new video that, He can teach you a consistant rountine if you want to release with your teeth. I guess split is no problem. DB

I remember seeing this in his video. I was just wondering if anyone that has attended the school has followed thru with their split finger style or if all of his students were converts to 3 under.  Maybe Waiting 4 Fall would know about this.

There are quite a few guys on the dvd who shoot split finger & are shooting great. YES I PROMISE YOU CAN CONTINUE TO SHOOT SPLIT FINGER, & still go thru Rick's shooting school. If you can release your bowstring with your feet, Rick will have you doing it better & more consistently after you finish the school. The bottom line is this, if you want to shoot more consistently accurately that you ever have in your entire life, go to Rick Welch's traditional archery shooting school. That's just the honest truth, plain & simple. Hope this helps.- w4f.

What waiting4fall said.  Rick's system teaches a simple, repeatable method of shooting.  He recommends three under because his experience is that it's a cleaner and therefore more accurate release but he doesn't insist on it.

Based on my experience at his school, if thinking seriously about going, stop thinking and go.You'll be a better shooter for it.

Thanks guys for the replies. Computer has been down and the telephone guy just left so back up and running. Hopefully I will get the chance to go to his school. Not that far from him.
