I have shot longbows and recurves for years and never one with a leather grip.Am i missing something? Is there an advantage to wrapping the grip?

Gives a better grip especially if your hand ever sweats.

I have two recurves made by the same bowyer.  One has a beavertail wrap the other nothing.  The wrap will add a bit of thickness and improve grip a bit.  The wrap definately changes the feel in your hand.  Whether there is an advantage depends on which feel you prefer.

I've been using innertube from a 10 speed bike. grips like all get out with glove on or without
