Let me start this by saying that I am a quasi-new shooter. I shot trad about 8 years ago, but haven't been shooting at all until about a month ago. I am shooting a bow that draws 46# at my 31 inch draw length.
For the first 3 weeks I shot with no pain or discomfort at all in my shooting hand. None.
Over the last few days, I have started to develop some soreness on the top of my index finger (by the base of my fingernail). The "hook" where the string touches my fingers is not sore at all. I have diagnosed the problem being that sometimes the seam of the leather sometimes rubs against my finger up there. I find the longer I shoot the more sore it typically gets. Then again, there are times when I do not have any discomfort.
I am shooting anywhere from 15-50+ arrows a day if the weather lets me. I usually shoot no more than 25 arrows in a session and usually do 1-2 sessions a day.
Has anyone had any similar issues like this before? Do you think this is a "shooting too much too soon problem" or an issue with the glove itself?
Sometimes I shoot and there are no issues at all.
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer!
