Nock point below the arrow?
«

I was watching my new hitting em like Howard DVD. I discovered that Howard had his nock point below the arrow, I was wondering if anyone else does this?

I've seen it done that way before. Personally, I've never done it though. In the past, I have done what Dan described, one above and one below.

I have always nocked the arrow above the nock point. Been doing it as long as I can remember. I believe it was done years ago when back quivers were prevalent and for quickly nocking an arrow without looking. Pat

I've nocked the arrow above the nock point ever since I saw that video. Practiced alot of 'speed shooting' at that time for fun and I learned to pull an arrow and nock it without looking at the string. Now it's just a habit. When I use my bow quiver I still have to look because I grab the arrow by the shaft instead of the nock.

I tried it once, and I couldn't keep the arrow on the string. Didn't seem to bother Howard Hill, though!

I usually shoot string nock over the arrow, but when I switched to BH's I needed to switch to string nock under the arrow. Have no problem shooting.
