I learned last night that I was holding the bow a certain way because of my compound background.  I went from holding in the meat of the palm to a straight wrist and an actual "grip".  I have to work on it, but I see the principal.  Like what was stated before, find someone who knows what they're doing.  Its turned my world upside down.

target3D,
All the recurve shooters I see or know still use a very high wrist grip, and while I only shoot longbows these days, I will take a Palmer (over 50# and 64") if anyone just wants to give one away.

I've tried about everything that has been recommended for keeping my bow arm on target after the shot to no avail. It still drops down to the left on release but as long as I do my part(steady bow arm, smooth release and follow through)it doesn't seem to affect my accuracy.I've just accepted that it is the way I shoot now while trying to improve.Good luck.
