Charlie,  How new (to archery) are you??  If you are just starting out, I'd suggest that you NOT cut your arrows any more!!  Nock left (right handed??) may be many things and NOT necessarily the arrow spine.  Once you REALLY have a consistent shot, then you will  have a better chance of tuning your equipment.  Your arrows will group with a consistent shot regardless of the spine.  Your current draw length will most likely change as you gain proficiency and your current nock left may disappear all by itself.

Why don't you try some 100 grain tips?  That will also stiffen the arrow, without doing anything to it that you can't undo.  See if you like arrow flight better with 100 or 125 grain points.  You might find yourself switching back and forth over the next months before you decide for sure.

It is possible that if you are new to archery, your draw length might increase after you shoot for a while, so you might need those longer arrows at some point.  Of course, by then, most of them will probably be lost or broken anyway, plus if your draw length increases that will be another reason you might need a stiffer arrow.  The fun never ends!

you could also lower your brace height to make your shafts act stiffer.

My problem is I don't know much about bows, learned some things here.I've played with the brace height didn't seem to change things.I shot this morning really bad then I changed my anchor point and shot some good groups.I've been shooting for about 2 months now tring to get ready for deer season.I shoot a recurve bow thinging about maybe trying a long bow.which is better long bow or recurve.

Shoot whatever appeals to you, longbows or recurves.  It really doesn't matter, as long as you like it and it's a well made bow, of which there are many, many out there.

What you need to know about is form.  The reason you shoot well on some days and not so well on other days is that some days you do something differently when you shoot than you do on other days.  Maybe several things differently.  If you're like me, you probably don't know what you're doing differently, so you guess.  If you guess wrong, now you're doing another thing differently, which compounds the problem.

The best thing you, me or anybody could do for their shooting is to study Terry's clock, watch instructional DVD's, video yourself, and get some instruction in a class or from a good instructor.

Are you using standard inserts?  If so, don't go lighter on the point because your are under 8 gpp of arrow weight.

What kind of bow is it?  What is the center cut?  That arrow could be over stiff and you are getting false weak.  Are you saying you had or thought you had it tuned then you cut your arrows?

If the bow was shooting well and now you have a problem, it could be form issues. You could also be getting a kick off the edge of your shelf.

Charlie, you should get the Masters of The Barebow series(especially vol.III). There is some real good advice on shooting and form in general on these dvds. Rod Jenkins in vol.III covers the draw very well in this series and will help alot with your shooting. Even if you choose not to use his method just the part on form and the draw he explains is worth the price of the dvd.
