Looking for info on "Sayre" bow

Hi All,
Could anyone shed some light on a "Sayre" bow?
It's a take down recurve, multi laminated riser, great tip overlays, etc.  I bought it on ****, from an experienced bow broker.  Even he, had not heard of the maker, but gave it a 9.7 out of 10 on the quality scale.  
Also, I will need to get a string for it. Do I simply give a custom string maker the AMO length, and they will know proper size to make?
