? about such a high nock point using split

I decided to try and paper tune my set up and something seemed odd to me. My arrows are CX350 cut to 31" BOP with a 260 tip. My nocking point is 5/8 above center.
They always seemed to fly well to me, but when I tried paper tuning them, it showed that my nocking point was to low ( a low tear).
I raised it up to 3/4 above center and they seemed to fly much better.
Why would I need such a high nocking point if I shoot split finger? I see 3 under shooters usually with a high nock point, not people shooting split finger.

I had stuff like this with too stiff of arrows.

What distance are you shooting the paper?  You need to shoot at all different distances to see what the arrow is doing.  I start at about 10’ to get close, and then I shoot closer and farther out so I can see what it is doing at different distances.  Often you can be seeing an over correction not what the arrow is doing when it comes off the bow.  If your nock was too low it could be the nock travel was low or so low it kicked off the shelf and overcorrected.  Both can show the  same thing in paper dependent on the distance, and both would be solved by the  same adjustment.  

Higher than normal nock point for me has been bow tiller, form, too stiff of an arrow, or a combination.

I agree with the stiff arrow. I paper tuned at 10 yards, 15 yards. Did you leave your nocking point high then?
