It's coming together
« on: May 30, 2012, 04:32:00 PM »
I just wanted to take the chance to thank you all for your posts throughout the form forum! I studied this forum heavily while I was waiting on arrows and not able to shoot (I found through these studies that I was not extending enough hence the need for new longer arrows lol ). I continued to practice in the house with my bow in hand. Yesterday my arrows came in and I set them up; attached judos for the first time and hit the backyard. My left and right variance is almost completely gone now!!!! Now if I miss a grass clump it's usually just a matter of being too short or too far, but either way my arrow is in perfect alignment with the target when it lands. Thanks again to all of you for sharing your archery wisdom with us newbies (I have been shooting since  January ish but very seriously for the past month). You have given me renewed confidence in moving forward. You rock Gang!    :clapper:    :archer2:

I began my journey 5 yrs ago and it is a journey. For me learning was an "S" curve over this period beginning with all the frustrations then improving quickly then leveling off with improvement painstakingly slow then reaching another period of enlightenment and now leveling off into a comfort level. It can be a winding road so just be prepared and ride out the waves should things begin to change again for you. Enjoy!

Thanks for the piece of wisdom smoke; I will definitely keep that in mind. I can be a perfectionist and a little self critical so I think the nature of bowhunting will help make me a more patient person  :) .
