As trad archers, we hear about target panic all the time. I suffered bad for more time than I want to admit. Once I started to make progress I began to research it more. My research was limited to traditional archery only.
Now I'm left wondering: Are we the only shooters who suffer from this? I grew up shooting rifles and firearms. My job requires that I qualify yearly with a handgun. I shot a compound for a few years. In other words, I was always shooting SOMETHING almost all my life. NEVER did I have any trouble until I started shooting my self bows. And I've never heard of a rifle shooter or a handgun shooter suffering from target panic.
In the few years that I shot a compound, I never heard of it either.
Are stick bow shooters the only ones who suffer or does this disease show itself in other shooting activities as well?
If not, WHY? If so, what are the symptoms?
