A couple of months ago I moved up in bow weight from #45 to #52. At first, everything went well and I was really liking how my release felt. Seemingly overnight, though, my groups opened up in a big way. I was frustrated and thought maybe it was my anchor. With the season opening in less than two weeks I was kinda getting desperate.
Everything felt right but my arrows were going left and right at random. I finally figured it must be an alignment issue after reading about Terry's form clock, but kept focusing on my drawing elbow, trying to get it further back and around.
Well, today I finally figured out it was my bow shoulder that was the problem. I was shooting with my bow shoulder up high and back. As soon as I started dropping my left shoulder and pushing it towards the target, my groups improved dramatically. What a relief! Thanks for all the info on this site.
