Here is where I am at. I shoot a #55 recurve and have always had trouble with what I call my arrows doing a barrel roll. I am accurate but I want better and consistent arrow flight. I have tinkered with my set up, form, etc. and believe I have determined that the way I grip the string is causing my issues with arrow flight. In talking with a buddy I mentioned that I put more pressure on my ring finger and have a callous on the outside edge of that finger. He said the callous is the tell tale sign of torqueing my draw hand.
I went out last night and intentionally put more pulling pressure on my pointer and middle finger (I shoot split) and I did not get any erratic arrow flight. I know that switching anything up is always weird at first, but I would like to hear some descriptions of how to achieve proper string grip so I am not fumbling around as I am drawing.
Thanks in advance for any input. Sam
