There are two articles in this month's TBM dealing with the mental aspects of archery: Comcentration and the Aging Bowhunter, by G. Fred Asbell, and Three Common Mental Shooting Mistakes, by Denny Sturgis Jr. At first reading, these articles seem contradictory, and it would seem that you would have to pick one or the other (or perhaps neither one). However, after a second reading, and giving it a great deal of thought, I don't think they are contradictory at all, and in fact compliment each other. Taken together, these are two of the best articles I've read about the mental aspects of archery, and avoiding target panic. Interestingly, neither mentions that term, perhaps on purpose.
