bareshaft tuning
« on: June 28, 2016, 02:11:00 PM »
Ok so i bought some gold tip blems and could not figure out why these were flying better then my 3 rivers trad only arrows. well i added a 2nd nock point yesterday and the arrows i were shooting were impacting right of were i was looking, i decreased the point weight to 175 from 200 and bam they are flying like darts and going where i look, the goldtips like the 200s and fly perfect. so in the long run it turns out the goldtips are a stiffer shaft then the 3 rivers trad onlys. I cant believe how important a second nock point is and how it can effect tuning. Thanks to you guys for all the help im tuned and shooting great.
thank you guyys very much

How are you supposed to tune if you can't the bow and shoot instinctive?

I'm confused.   :dunno:   You say you DECREASED point wgt. from 200 to 175 and then you say the GTs like the 200s. Which arrows did you decrease wgt. on? The trad only? It's very early in the morning.

Lol, I found out both arrows like heads between 160 to 200 grains all fly well out of my bear super grizzly.
