jamie, I'm in central MA just east of worcester.

T.downing .....there are deer here, and actually the deer are thicker down by the cape (some places up to 40+ per square mile)...but around here its about 6-10 per square mi.

rich...on another site, someone was saying that reedy's (one of the biggest check-in stations in the south east part of the state) was reporting about 4%  less deer checked in this year....and when you only check in about 350 deer thats alot...

Marc, I'm not that far from you (northern worcester county) and we sure have sign, but lack of density seems to be the problem.
I thought I chose my spots real well, and invested a YEAR of scouting, and thought I was going to have a great season.  Back to the drawing board.

A guy here at work killed two bucks this year on his way to and from work, running in front of his car, killed instantly.

He said the second one was "huge" and it did $3000 worth of damage to his Lexus.

It's sad to realize he had more deer activity in his car, than I did in my stand...

I liked the suggestion about a support group for us!  It just fuels me to work even harder at it, for next year.
Good luck,
Rich

Rich....I hunted alot in northern CT this year and southern CT last year and have seriously contemplated not even buying a MA license in 08.   I probably will cause I can't realistically pop down to CT for a morning-hunt-before-work.  but I am certainly not going to invest as much time as I did this year to MA.  I'm gonna focus days off and weekends in CT and use MA strictly as a 'quick-hunt' location.
