Meat question

Can you thaw deer meat, grind it then refreeze it?

I have done it many times especialy when making sausages at home....so no probs encountered by me any way.

Do it all the time. Most grinders will work better if Your meat is still partially frozen.

Put all the grinder parts in the freezer first to facilitate grinding by keeping everything cold.

I also cut mine after putting a good chill on it. Not long enough to freeze, but just enough to set it up a bit. Cut your loins roasts or any large cuts from the bone and then chill em in the freezer for 30-45 min. they slice up a bunch smoother than warm .
