Wild Turkey Taco Soup
« on: May 02, 2009, 05:50:00 PM »
Cut the breasts out for another dinner and use everything else here.

Take the legs, wings and body and boil in water till cooked. Pull off all the meat and add to this recipe.

In a crock pot for 4 to 6 hours add:
  1/2 onion sauteed
  Turkey meat
1 can kidney or black beans
  1 can pinto beans
  1 can diced tomatoes
  1 can corn
  1 sm. can green chilis
  1 envelope taco seasoning

If you like, top with cheese and sour cream.

Don't drain any fluid from cans or add any either.

  Enjoy!!

Dave, ya got a turkey huh?    Where's the pic?

Yes, I love Taco soup!  I never had it with turkey, but sure like it with elk, bear or venison.   ;)

In my recipe, I use hominy instead of corn (I'm from Tennessee   :D  ). I also love those Frito's "Scoopers" or good ole cornbread.

A pot of Taco Soup and a batch of margueritas make for a great Cinco de Mayo celebration.   :clapper:
