first thing I ever smoked was 2 chickens for dinner on Mother's Day about 10 years or so ago.  I had no idea what I was doing, and used wood chips for 3 straight hrs (if memory serves me right).  Birds looked like the best thing I ever set my eyes on.  My Dad and I bit into it, and I swear we burped the taste of a house fire for the next 6 hrs.  Mom refused to try it.  Learned a good lesson that day...Buy a cook book and read it.

Thanks for bringing up the good memory of me and Dad.  I would eat a house fire today just to spend one more day with him.
