Billy, If you do everything right you are good as is. What I noticed was that with a sloppy release, like when my fingers were cold or if the feathers got wet, then the arrow with a low foc didn't stabilize as fast or as well as the one with the foc up in the 12% range. I envy you having machine shop to play around with, I'm probably better off that I don't though, I don't have enough time as it is! Rick

wow rick, i moved up 42 grains, soaked the flecthing, tried to release bad, they hung right in there. the 125s didnt hang, now its sinking to the fletch in my black hole target. thanks to you, i gotta get a new target  :D  thanks for the info, your a true scolar of the arrow man. thanks, God Bless

Silvertip,

First, I didn't read all of the postings, so I appologize if I'm repeating something here.

I also shoot Silvertips recurves and longbows in the 65 - 70# range. For arrows I use GrizzlySticks and 2219's. On the business end of both shafts, a use a 110 gr. steal adapter and a 125 gr. Wensel Woodsman. I find this combination forgiving and very deadly.

good deal slim, im just kinda messin around, ive been shooting 125s been doin ok on these deer around here. but always willing to improve. ill try that weight, think ive got some of those laying around. thanks for the info. God Bless
