E-Bay arrows - CRAZY or just serious collectors?

Howdy All,
I was followin' the e-bay aucton of 4 old arrows. When I seen them the first time the bid was up over $500 bucks, way to rich for my blood but I was curious to see what they would bring.I haven't been to seriuos collecting and hadn't joined the ABCC. I e-mailed Mr. Greg Schwerer last night and will be mailin' in my application on the morrow.
One of the arrows is wood with a Bear Razorhead on it, no biggy!
Anouther looks like alum. with what looks like a Ja-Lea Rocket, Pom Pom Tip (blunt) or maybe a light switch knob from a 1963 Ford. haa lol..jk.. The Pom Pom is a guess, just cause I seen one in Wade's book.
The last 2 arrows are the ones I was droolin' over. Both are wood with self nocks. Anouther guess would be that one is tipped with a Lambert, Arthur 2 blade, c. 1930, rare. The other a Krieger Manufacturing, 3 blade, 1938, also rare.

The winning bid on these arrows was $2,031.50.       Not priceless but as far as I'm concerned CRAZY or real serious.
If I'm wrong about the ID of the heads (probable) I think Ron will have a better guess as to what they are. If anyone has info.? I would like to know. If ya know who the winnin' bidder is "canoeman". I would like to know more about him also. Maybe I could errr.. uuummmm....  :rolleyes: .... borrow    Me jelous? hummm MAYBE JUST A LITTLE!

I watched that also.
I didn't get worked up as I know the big boys are going to play and there's no room on the field for me. In truth I didn't even research the 2 blade. My off the cuff guess was a California By Products. You see, I don't have the Wade bible, so I'm still relying on the older data. I'll see Wade next week then perhaps I will get a broadhead bible and I can then become one of the well informed!
All in jest as he put a lot of work in that book. I like to deal in person  at times, and I'm cheap. Don't want to pay the postage to mail the book, I prefer to drive 1200 miles to pick it up!

Yesser', Wade's book has been great,     it's probably the biggest reason I started collecting. With all the info. in it it's almost to easy.
Haaa! ya sound like me "rather drive 1,200 miles"...   :rolleyes:  "jeez hunnn I know it's a long drive but think of the time we will have together to bond, thats really the only reason I want to go is to spend some quality time with you"..     lol

You were correct The 2,031.50 went for a Krieger 3 blade and a Arthur Lambert Barbed head. I can't afford to play with the big boys either. Even if I could I wouldn't as it goes against my grain. By the way... that Lambert arrow and head were on display in Wade's collection at Compton.
It was a longer drive for you Dave, but you had Don with you!I'm sure he kept you awake.But look how easy you will have the trip next year in Colorado.

they did it again. 4 arrows for over $2,400. anyone know who gottem' and what they were?

One of the heads was rare by itself, but the reason for the big bucks is because they belonged to Iron Eyes Cody.

He was in a bunch of old Westerns. He also did the TV commercal many years ago. He was the Indian with the tear on his cheek because of what was being done to our land.
