Bear Tamerlane
« on: July 15, 2004, 10:54:00 PM »
I have two tamerlane bows that I bought.  Just wondering how much they would be worth.
One is 22#  63"  I think the serial # 14CA149
The other is 38#  69" serial 7CX304
Any info would be helpful
Thanks

Your 22 pounder was made in 1964 that was the first year they offered it in the 63" length. Bear introduced the Tamerlane in 1963 but only offered it in 66 and 69 inches that year. In 1964 the bow sold for $125.00.

Your 38 pounder was made in 1967 and still sold for $125.00 unless you ordered a premier Bear bowsight then it went up to $140.00.

Value depends on the condition of the bow(s). You can check out ebay and watch a few auctions to get an idea. Just type in Bear Bow and when that page comes up type in Tamerlane in the search box and hold on to your shorts.

Watched the tamerlanes on e-bay for the last month or so, I think the cheapest I saw go was 183$, It looked mint, with the exception of the sight, the peep was missing. The few others went for over 200$ But e-bay is a good gauge.
