clarks bowstrings
« on: August 02, 2004, 02:47:00 AM »
A long time ago; back in the last century; I bought out an archery department in a sporting goods store that was going out of business. In that were several dozen 'super-fine' "champions choice" bowstrings made by 'Howard D. Clark' address listed as 1022 chittock-avenue; Jackson Michigan. I am not sure what kind of material they are made of; its says inside each package they are prestretched and lubricated.
They are kinda cool; white string with brown serving; and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about them? They are in 3 1/4 inch square thick paper packs; with instructions inside.
They were distributed by 'Kalamazoo Products Co. hardware - sporting goods-toys; 628 Lake St. Kalamazoo, Mich.'
Are there any bowstring experts or collectors out there that can shed some light on these; like age or something? Some are 67 inches long; and '1 1/8' loop 45-55 weight.

THE VOICES HAVEN'T BOTHERED ME SINCE I STARTED POKING THEM WITH A Q-TIP.
