Duke by St. Charles

I have a recurve that is made out of what looks like a heavy piece of rosewood. It is 62 inches long and is 54 pounds at 28 inches. It is marked: "The Duke" by St. Charles 54#@28" 62"006. The bow is in mint condition and is signed by Glenn St. Charles. Looking for some history on this bow.

I am somewhat familiar with the Duke Savora bows, though certainly no expert.  When Savora died, Jay St Charles (Glenn's son) got some if not all the forms, limbs, etc and actually make the Savora bow again when he could be talked into it. About 10 years ago, my good hunting buddy Wayne Fontenelle talked him into a Savora recurve. Are you sure it is not dymondwood?  I have a Savora takedown recurve and everyone I have seen is dymondwood.  They are great bows with a great handle and simple lines. Collectors here in the NW grab them up quickly when one comes available since they are somewhat rare.  Contact Jay st. Charles for additional info.
