Shakespear wonderbow
« on: October 03, 2006, 03:28:00 PM »
Friend just gave me a 40# 60" Shakespear
Wonderbow.  It is a recurve and I am trying to find out about.  It was handed down to him from
an Uncle,  he could not shoot it because it is
left handed so he gave it to me.

During their heyday, Shakespeare had a good many models of mid rage priced bows.  They were not as popular as Bear, Howatt, and the other major brands, but they wer good shooters and affordable.  They have stood the test of time in that many are  still around and are still great shooters.  Just about all of theShakespeare bows were called "WONDERBOW".  That was knid of a trade mark. What is the model of yours?  Nekedah, Kaibab, Sierra, Pecos... There are many models differeinciated by the weight and length.

In any case, if the bow is solid, you should have a good shooter there.  Have fun with it.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

My Bow is a Tioga if I remember right.  It has a
picture of a bucks head on it.  The bow has cleaned up very nice.  I am waiting on a string
now so I can shoot it.
