I am finally getting back into archery after a 5 yr layoff because of back problems...
I was going over my equipment and was just wondering what my bows might be worth...
First is a Grayling Magnesium Bear TD 62" long 47# that is a dream to shoot...
Second is a Wing Chapparel 60" 48# in fantastic shape
And the third is my pride and joy, but I can't find any info on the bowyer...
It is a 68" 54# longbow made my Tom Cole. I purchased the bow at the First NY Traditional Archers Shoot a long time ago. The bow is beautifully made.. lams are bubinga, purple heart and what looks like olive dyed maple with green glass overlays. One of the real interesting things is that the handle fade outs extend about 2/3 the length of the limbs, unlike most handles we see...
From what I remember Tom Cole was a minister from PA and also a well respected bowyer who made a limited number of high quality bows. That is about all I can remember or find out.
All help would be appreciated.
