pearson colt ??

I'm going to look at a pearson colt later this week.  Anything I should keep my eye out for other than condition, limbs straight, screw holes etc.  Are any particular models more collectible than others ? I think this is a '69.  Any advice would be appreiated.  Thanks, Daryl

The colts shoot good. The thing I don't like are the limb tips are not reinforced. Check around the string groove for hairline cracks developing. String the bow and check for warped limbs. They really are not highly collectable. Myself, I wouldn't pay over 50 bucks. Good luck.

ye thanks the guy wants $40 and the bow has a bear spring quiver and 6 bear arrows with razor heads. probably get it for less, so if its a shooter at all I'll nab it probably

Sounds good, the quiver and arrows are worth 40 bucks.

$50.00 is a good value for a Colt, so if you get it for $40.00 you are OK.  Ben Pearson bows area about the most underated bows out there.  Most do not carry a big collectors value, but they are solid shooters if in good condition.  They are great beginenr bows, and the Colt is one I always recommend to new shooters.

Most are target weight with white limbs, but there are some out there in Hunting Weights with brown limbs. I have a 50# and a 55#.  Both solid.  

Grab it you won't get hurt when it comes time to sell it if it is in good solid shape.

Like HORNEY TOAD said.  The quiver  and  the arrows are worth the $40.00.  Actually, the quiver has more colelctors value than the bow.
