Papalapin;
I think it was 1960 National Field Instinctive Championship. Another guy shot with him by the name of "Skip" Palmer who came in 3rd. Skip was also using a Presentation.
If someone out there knows different, chime in please.
Don (Sheppard);
I collect Wings and am friends with the Lee family (wonderful people by the way)and have other contacts that worked at Wing. I have tried and found it impossible to correlate S/Ns with year. (No records were kept that I can find)Generally, you can tell the model and sometimes the era (Houston Wing, Jacksonville Wing, Head Ski and AMF)from it, but there is no data that I know of which track the actual number that follows the alpha designator chronologically like Bear. Even with Bears, even a knowledgable collector gets lost in the inconsistancies some times.
Also, catalog continuity has some gaps. e.g., I can't find many catalogs prior to 60 (I have 1 undated catalog and a couple of flyers and some magazine ads), and also '68 or '69 (one or both of them are contained in Catalog/X) and I can't find the other, 71, and some of the Slim Line catalogs. So if anyone has one of these, I'd like to exchange info on them.
