Drake Recurve Tip Overlays ? ? ?
« on: November 10, 2007, 06:57:00 PM »
I have what I think is a Drake recurve and has what apppears to be snake skin on the tips. Raineman said it was a glass fiber but couldn't recall the name. Is the overlay original and what year and model do you think the bow is. No stickers or silkscreens just the #602 stamped in the riser on the side opposite the sight window.

Could be a vintage Root Archery bow.

Looks like a Drake.  If you had not identified it, and asked what it was, I would definitely sald  DRAKE.  His bows were mostly made with the laminated riser.  Never seen those tips thogh.  ay have been done later

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.
