Oh yeah the old steel wool trick,You may want to use a scotch bite pad on your bows,well on a 1962 it would not matter.Because the bow is gray anywho,But the steel wool will leave a grayish tone on lighter colored and some clear fiberglass.Here's another that work well with gun stock finishes...Those spounge paint brush deals.You know there made of spounge rather then bristles??? those work well with B&C tru oil and defthine both,with no run,or sags.You could also gently wet sand the sag out with some 600 grit wet dry,and then go over them again,ie like you mentioned or with the spounge brush..Keep me posted bowdoc
