A little something from back-in-the-day
« on: April 16, 2008, 11:03:00 PM »
Found this neat little piece of local traditional archery history. It is a 40 page publication from the Association of Maryland Bowhunters announcing the 9th Annual State Championship to be held in Hagerstown MD September 1960. In the book it has a listing of scheduled events including a Old Fashioned Square Dance (dress farm style), rules and regs, past winners and their scores, maps to 25 or so archery clubs and ads for local archery businesses and bow companies. I know it’s not a 62 Kodiak but its interesting reading.

Does anyone have one of those Jaguar bows with the deer head on the riser ?

Those are the pieces of archery history that I find interesting.

If you ever scan it into a pdf file, let me know.

That was a great time for traditional archery. A whole lot of great bows being made in the late 50s and 60s.
