Broken Herters
« on: June 14, 2008, 03:08:00 AM »
Posted this on Pow-Wow earlier.

Recently broke the tip on this old Herters, 1961 I believe. It shot really well. I didn't pay a whole lot for it $40 or so. Any suggestions?

Just my opinion, but with it's value lost, I would probaly cut both tips off, narrow limbs a bit, and cut in new string grooves and tips.

Ive done this a few times with severely damaged tips. For me, if there isnt any collection value, it isnt worth anything to me if it doesnt shoot. So I try to give it another chance at life.

Sorry you lost it! What a bummer!!
