Doc, did the 1959 kodiaks have different color feather rests? What about other years, did the colors vary?

Thanks Doc and Cam, I just received a shipment of processed wild turkey feathers so they are gonna get even better.  Going to limit colors to red barred, yellow barred and natural grey.

Toad the feather rest came in all colors on 1959's as with most all years. What ever colors they had they used that day..I acually think the red or yellow looks best with the purple heart and Brazilian rosewood.......once again thanks Trap........bowdoc

I have seen a lot of orange feather rests on '59 Kodiaks, red on the 1960 models. I like the orange myself, seems to look the best with the brown and carmel glass.
I was born with nothing and I still have most of it left.

I could dye a few feathers orange as well I suppose.  How many do you need Chuck?    :D

Just kidding, I thought about Orange but the only orange one I've seen was on a 59 Grizzly.  You guys have been at this alot longer than me.  I'll let you guys decide, Rit dye is cheap.

I will Joe , I have a little dyeing to do and I want them really dry before I start building the colored ones.

I'll get some pics up.

The picture Doc posted above shows two slightly different shapes.  The one on the bottom matches the original Bear rests most closely I think.  The one above has the hump towards the back of the bow (away from the shooter).  Which do you guys like most?

I agree with Bowdoc, I like the low profile shape of the one you have on the Kodiak Special. I'll take a couple for sure when you get some made up. I enjoy shooting off a feather rest as well. Just not doing a lot of shooting right now, had carpal tunnel surgery done to my left hand last wednesday, and the same surgery on my right hand next wednesday... my fishing and hunting are over for the next few months. ... (looking for a job too.)

Here's four color variations.
