Tips came out purty sweet looking
« on: July 16, 2008, 07:55:00 PM »
I was checking out the post for the 1965 Kodiak and noted.Someone mentioned about the limb tips being somewhat square-ish looking...I also kind of don't care for that later model look eather. So I've been reshapeing them with my palm sander(about 10-15 minutes per tip with hand work).Check out the pic of the two super K tips and it will give you some idea on how they look reshaped kind of like the 1962 Kodiak.....bowdoc

They look great Doc,

Have you ever replaced the overlays with a rosewood and black and white phenolic combination?

I love the smell of grinding bowling balls....I got a new spindel sander last year.Like a cheep Ryobi about 99.00.It will take the grips and tips down rather quickly...36 grit sander works great and will save hours of hand work........bowdoc
