good mass weight longbow

I have been shooting a 58" centaur and can't seem to shoot it consistantly. I have a friend who shoots a longbow that is much heavier in mass weight, I shoot this bow very consistantly. Does anyone know of a nice longbow that has a good mass weight to it? I have been looking at ancient spirits and think they might be the ticket. Really appreciate the input!!

black widow pl has the most mass weight of any longbow I have shot.. very stable and dead in the hand at release...I shoot it alot better than my lighter in weight bows..

Stotler Gamebuster in 63 inches...this design was invented by Howard Hills bow makes (for 25 years) to combine the best of both a recurve (stability, lack of handshock) and a "D" shaped longbow (shootability).  Call Stotler and find out if Dan has one lyin around that he can send for a try out.

Hummingbird bows have more mass than most other typical longbow risers for a 1 piece Longbow.They shoot great

A longer bow is more stable also.  This can be seen in the extreme when a guy with a really long draw draws a really short bow.  The limb tips quiver back and forth perpendicular to the direction the arrow is pointed.

I was wondering if a person when ordering a custom bow, could choice the heavier of Riser Woods option???

I had a Kohannah Kurve, with Dymondwood, and man that felt solid??

Any similar experiences, I've noticed o O.Ls website, he lists quite a few woods and rates them on Best "Riser Woods", and Limb Lams...

you can also throw a quiver on your centaur and give it more weight.

i have a recurve that's too light for my liking; but when i put a quiver on it it becomes very sweet.

Good question above, Gator1 wood choices can make a huge difference.  An osage riser for example can weigh a  full half pound more than some other woods, even in a small take down longbow riser.
