Tell me what it is

Picked up this bow and the only markings are the numbers 500-30(in the red box) on the front of the riser. Any ideas ?

A few questions :
In the third pic does the darker lam strip in the tip serve a purpose or is it just cosmetic ?

What years were they on the market ?

Were they sold at chain stores(K-Mart,Sears) like other makers did with their lower line of bows ?

I have no string for it but what are the chances it is still shootable ?
                          Thanx, Shep
