HOW OLD IS THIS WING?
« on: December 04, 2008, 09:59:00 PM »
I recently bought a 64" Wing Gull recurve.  It has the words "WING ARCHERY COMPANY" in white around a kind of diamond shaped Wing logo which is white also on the belly of the bottom limb..  The top limb belly has only the word "GULL" in white.  The number "G7-4499" is on the handle above where the poundage is listed.  Any idea on how old this bow is?

No help with a age, I did buy one for my son off of the auction place. Got lucky a super nice one, he likes it well. He is right handed and me left. One of my buddys shot it one day here, like it so much he went out and bought one to shoot indoor league with. Which he did most of last winter, and he has some mighty fine custom bows. All I can do is admire my sons.   :)   JMO Wings are very reasonably priced and underated collectable\\shooters.

I am guessing around 1967 before the company started changing hands to Head Ski Co. and AMF.

Pickn, I still have my 67 Wing Gull I bought when I came home from overseas; G7-3519.  My brother and I bought them and used them until I bought a '70 Super K.  It is a '67 model that was a left over in '68.  I still shoot it now and then when I try to get my form back to basics.  Very good shooter.  Hope you enjoy it............Shick
