Need a Grizzly decal!
« on: December 18, 2008, 07:32:00 AM »
Well, bad news!  The upper Grizzly decal didn't fair so well.  It mostly pulled off with the duct tape.  The lower one is gonna be a winner.  When I spray the new Fullerplast, it will be hardly noticeable.

Help me guys!  The lower decal is gonna work out, but the upper decal mostly pulled off with the tape that I was using to protect it.  I just need one upper decal for this facelift project.  Here is the one I need.

That's not too bad!  I'd mix up some paint and just touch it up, then spray.

Anyone have a set of Kodiak decals though???  I can get the damn dry transfers in anything BUT white!!!

AP, doh!

bd, I talked to two guys who said colors aren't a problem.  Like you found, the white ones need a certain type of printer.
I'll be testing some dry transfers in about two weeks.  I need some hi-res digital pictures of the Bear silkscreens though for anything more than a quick test.  You have any you could send??

I need decals for a '57 Kodiak refinish.

Yap the darn white decals are spendie to say the least because of the certin type printer needed.Well I do not have any hi res pics..but I do have some pieces of the transfers left over and was tring to piece them together and then have the printer scam them.I will keep ya'all posted.Hey Lon printer dude went out of bizz last week or so.At least he called me to pick up my 100.00 deposit. But he's out of bizz so I will have to find another one soon.bd

Just a small question. Why not just silkscreen new logos on instead of decals? Silkscreening is not that hard to do and the colors can be mixed to match. - Simon

Simon the screening is or maybe easy I've not done any myself. The box that holds the screens is the problem because of different width limbs...The transfers worked great and getting them is not to hard. One problem is getting the Super Kodiaks done. Those are white and 99% of printers do not print in white. The silks screen would be the way to go for sure if guy could get the boxes made...bd
