new to me bear bows
«

i got two bows today off a local fishing forum one is early-mid 60's (help with exactly  ) kodiak with quiver and green glass.
the other is I belive between 68and 72 (the coin is flush but it has AMO) grizzly with black glass.
the kodiak is great shape the grizzly has some scuffs both are straight, tips good etc. except the kodiak has sights screwed in it.
tell me what ya think.

the Kodiak looks like a 62 with what may be gray glass with a yellowed finish over the top which makes it look green. That looks like Brazilian Rosewood to me.
Great find

I'd bet on Trap- '62 Kodiak and a '70 Grizz. Nice catch, Grant

I am more inclined to think the Kodiak is a 1961 model, hard to say for sure with these pics.

Oh what do you know Chuck
LOL J/K CD, I agree, the pics make it difficult to be sure.

It does look like rosewood in 3rd pic, I could be wrong. Nonetheless, I'll still stick with my original "guess" 1961, the year I was born. nice bow

I think it looks like a '62.Glass and rosewood look too dark for a '61.Personally I'm 49,almost 50 so I'm a '59er.That's the only good thing about being born 50 years ago.UGH!!

Absolutely a 62. Looks like a nice one. I'm a 62 model, but not by much! CKruse

Did the some of the earlier 60 model kodiak's serial# start with an 8,knowing that is not a 68 model.
