« on: February 07, 2009, 01:12:00 PM »
Instead of doing the things to get ready for mysons 2nd birthday party tommorrow. I have been all over half the county at fleamarkets and estate sales looking for old bows.   :knothead:

I one moment of excitment was I saw curved wood from a distance and it turned out to be old skis.
I did see some grayling era wheelie bows.

They are getting almost impostible to find at flea markets and pawn shops.  Yard sales, garage sales, and estate sales are still possible, but not like they used to be.

Everyone knows that you can put these things on e8ay and get better money for them.  E8ay has opened up and avenuse for sellers where they get world wide exposure.

Welcome to the age of technology.

The most important part of your hunting setup is the broadhead.  The rest is just the delivery system.

And I thought I was the only one hallucinating bows every time I see old skis in a antique store... The old cross-country skies we have so much around here just keep on fooling me for that half second. I actually kid myself every time in thinking I could make a decent bow with those. - Simon
