Ben Pearson Logos
« on: March 05, 2009, 12:25:00 AM »
I am a graphic artist by trade and always had a thing for vintage logos and commercial artwork. I recently spent some time retracing a Ben Pearson PINTO logo and realized that Ben Pearson might of had the coolest bow logos in the 60s. I went through the net looking for Pearson logos and here are some of them. I really like the BRONCO and the JAVALINA logos...

Sorry for the poor quality pics.

I'm not a Ben Pearson Collector, but The Arabian has been my favorite Pearson logo since Bob Rhode sent me his Arabian just a couple of weeks before he passed away of congestive heart failure. Bob called me because he wanted me to have the bow. While talking with Bob on the phone, he inscribed and dated it. It is the bow that he won two National Flight Championships with.

Bob was the Archery Historian who has no equal. His books are a must read for anyone interested in archery history. I’ve had a set of Bob’s signed books for years. In 2000, Bob also sent me the proof copy of all of his books, which have his proof notes in them. Any of the Pearson logos remind of Bob and what an exceptional person he was, and how fortunate we were to have such a wonderful man do so much to preserve the history of archery in America.

Speaking of cats, is it just me or are these two logos just a little too similar?

I have a 1959 Safari, it's got a way cool logo, too. I'll have to see if I can get a pic to add to this. CKruse
